Merengue sprint at EuroPython, Saturday, June 25 2011 - Sunday, June 26 2011

There will be a Merengue development sprint at EuroPython in Florence, Italy, on Saturday 25rd June and Sunday 26th June 2011.

Note: there will be also a  talk about Merengue CMS at EuroPython.

Anybody around the world can participate and contribute. We'll be gathering in person in EuroPython, but if you can't make it you can also help out in IRC in #merengue-sprint on Freenode.

Topics

  • Release the 0.8-final version fixing all bugs in the 0.8 milestone.
  • Make cool improvements in the 0.9 version, as these:
    • Implement an smartphone interface with jquery mobile (or other). See #1997.
    • Improve SEO capabilities with:
    • Run the  Merengue Selenium tests in the cloud. See #1998.
    • Implement a CMIS API. See #31.
    • Integrate sentry. See #2113.
    • Implement the out-of-the-box integration with a CDN as S3 or Rackspace using  django-mediasync. See #1301.
    • A registration plugin, to avoid the repetitive task of integrate django-registration in the projects. See #2000.
    • Integrate Django-socialauth. See #1416.
    • Celery integration. See #2005.
